Social Media Samurai
Camila Souza is our Social Media Samurai and most recent addition to the CVOX team. She is a proud Brazilian raised in both Peru and United States. Her previous experience includes working in the various non-governmental organizations and international organizations in Europe.
She worked in social media outreach, including the development of a communication plan to establish an online presence for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, implementing development of the spaces currently in place today.
Her online advocacy and campaigning experience comes from Greenpeace International in Amsterdam, where she worked in major environment campaigns, including a global anti nuclear campaign after devastations caused by the Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan in March 2011.
While working at Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) Camila strategized innovative, media-based campaigns for the protection of minority rights on a global level, including first account reports called “Voices From” that served to bring awareness to human rights violations.
Camila has a Masters degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University in The Netherlands and holds a Bachelor degree in Communications and Journalism from Florida International University.
