Alejandro Rubinstein, Managing Partner of Latam Wealth Consulting, provides consulting for ultra-high net worth families in Latin America. He has 15 plus years of experience in the corporate financial world. He has successfully executed investment strategies as Portfolio Manager for financial industry giants like Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, and Citibank.

Mr. Rubinstein previously served as Head of Trading, Advisory and Execution in the U.S. for Banco Itau.  By the age of 34 he became the Head of Smith Barney Trading Desk for Citibank Private Bank, the second largest Latam Trading Desk. There he was responsible for the securities and fixed income desk handling a portfolio of over $25 billion.

His distinctive approach to finance has earned him the Reuters Advice Point Top Advisors 2008 honor, appearances on renowned regional and global media as well the honor of being a member of the Family Office Association Advisory Board in New York 2008–2009.

In addition to his business interests, Mr. Rubinstein was a volunteer firefighter for six years, and served as President of a prestigous fundraiser organization.

Mr. Rubinstein holds a degree in Engineering from UAI Chile and also has a major in Finance and Economics.  He is an established financial commentator and writes a finance blog.
